General Manager, Membership Growth Initiative


Nature and Scope:

Reporting to the GM, Membership Growth Initiative, the Digital Wellness Coordinator will work as part of a collaborative team to assist in developing and implementing digital wellness on our YMCA at Home+ website and YMCA Ignite.   The coordinator will assist us in attaining our objective of enhancing our digital presence and fostering connections with diverse communities across British Columbia and beyond.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Live-Fitness program by offering support in various areas such as instructor recruitment and guidance, managing technical aspects of the experience, and handling administrative duties.
  • Recruit, train, and coach a diverse range of volunteer talent to record on-demand wellness videos and blog posts.
  • Personally create on-demand wellness content
  • Support the development and creation of online learning courses.
  • Assist with customer care responsibilities, including addressing customer inquiries, distributing coupon codes, processing refunds when necessary, and other related tasks.
  • Collaborate with digital team to support the growth and engagement of the Y@Home community.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • College Diploma in health and wellness, fitness, or other related field. 
  • Nationally recognized fitness certification (considered an asset). 
  • Strong understanding of wellness industry
  • Strong understanding of overall YMCA Health & Wellness operations and practices. 
  • Ability to foster connections and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • Superior writing and verbal communication. 
  • Strong initiative, planning and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem solver, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Works well to overcome ambiguity and the ability to adapt to a wide range of tasks with demanding deadlines. 
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across all levels of stakeholders. 
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
