The Role:
As a Practice Advisor, Indigenous Relations at CLBC, you will support initiatives aimed at increasing cultural safety within CLBC and influence Indigenous community inclusion strategies across the sector. You will provide province-wide leadership, working closely with Head Office Departments and Regional Operations to develop innovative approaches to advancing CLBC's relationships with First Nations, Metis, Inuit, partners; and Urban indigenous agencies, individuals and communities.
This dynamic position is responsible for developing CLBC's capacity to understand and respond to the needs of Indigenous individuals and their families who live within or outside of First Nations communities, including urban and rural communities. This includes providing practice consultation and planning guidance to regional operations staff with an Indigenous cultural lens; coordinating training at the team or region level, and providing expert knowledge for the implementation of cross-government policy agreements.

Qualifications:
Pursuant to Section 42 of the BC Human Rights Code, preference will be given to Indigenous candidates who self-identify as having First Nation, Metis or Indigenous ancestry with the required combination of education and experience.
Travel: Overnight travel is required. Possession of a class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract are required. Use of own vehicle on expenses.
Hybrid work Combines on-site office work with flexibility to work from home within BC after passing a 6 month probationary period.
Location: This position can work from any CLBC office
