As part of our energetic and talented Customer Care team, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Pathways Collaborative (FPC) including the Each One, Teach One (EOTO) financial literacy series of workshops - initiatives aimed at financially empowering members of the community. This role will drive efficiency, service excellence, and grow the reach of the FPC program by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and identifying opportunities for financial literacy education and empowerment. You will also support and coordinate various activities of volunteers who invest their talents in community impact projects as they explore and realize their social purpose through our Affinity Groups such as the Engineering Challenge, Heartland Challenge, GenNEXT Cabinet, and Make your Mark. This temporary full-time position reports to the Relationship Manager, Affinity Groups and has a term end date of March 31, 2025.

The day to day

  • Collaborates with the Financial Pathways Chair and committee volunteers to develop and drive strategies that support financial literacy needs in community and informs and grows the reach of the program, including continuous consultation on the state of the financial sector, industry changes and new financial products. Build and sustain relationships with collaborative partners – agencies and financial institutions.
  • Coordinates and schedules monthly Financial Pathways Collaborative (FPC) meetings including booking space, inviting attendees, drafting agendas, preparing meeting materials, corresponding with FPC Chair, and taking and distributing minutes. This includes providing FPC committee with updates on program, trends, concerns, growth opportunities, etc.
  • Scheduling and booking Each One Teach One (EOTO) workshops and financial literacy events with partners and volunteers and maintaining master bookings and volunteer management.
  • Monitors program schedule to ensure workshop targets and goals are met.
  • Tracking data such as volunteer activity, hours, number of workshops and number of attendees. This includes administering surveys to assess/measure volunteer engagement and community impact, and sharing data, surveys results, and feedback with an external consultant to inform the development of a Financial Pathways Collaborative Annual Evaluation Report
  • Organizes annual volunteer training for EOTO certification and United Way orientation including scheduling events, coordinating logistics, drafting agendas, preparing training materials, arranging catering, and providing onsite session support as required.
  • Promoting FPC and EOTO workshops by circulating promotional materials, giving presentations in the community, and educating the public at resource fairs.
  • Collaborates with internal marketing teams to promote via United Way newsletters, FPC website, blogs, and social media as it aligns and working with Product & Marketing to create promotional posters, sponsorship packages, and recognition materials, as required. This includes attending and participating in networking events and public speaking opportunities on behalf of United Way.
  • Monitors project management timelines of various projects determined by each Affinity Group to support coordinated efforts.
  • Schedules and booking meetings and site visits for project teams.
  • Develops and shares communications to internal and external stakeholders.

You have a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field and a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience, providing exceptional customer service and support to a variety of programs. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • The salary range for this role is $41,600 - $57,200.

*(Starting salary based on experience and budgetary considerations)
