Threshold Housing Society is an inspiring non-profit organization that is passionate about preventing adult homelessness by providing safe housing, stability, support services, and community to at-risk youth in the Greater Victoria area for over 30 years. The organization serves at-risk youth experiencing homelessness, aging out of care, or fleeing violence who need a place to call home and people who believe in them. Threshold Housing Society believes that every youth has the ability to thrive regardless of history or hardship and offers support to help at-risk youth make healthy choices and shift toward a brighter future.

We are currently looking for a Manager of Youth Supportive Housing to lead and provide oversight on all aspects of our new Housing Program including planning and implementing policies and procedures, leading licensing efforts, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and youth care plans, and establishing strong links with stakeholders. You are a positive and passionate leader and relationship builder that has a proven track record of fostering a vibrant and healthy workplace culture. You are a driven self-starter with the ability to work and meet deadlines under pressure. You have a strong understanding of the principles and practices around working with at-risk youth and you will use that knowledge to provide support, leadership, and healthy role modeling.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Alignment with the organizational values and the mission of the organization
  • 5+ years of management experience overseeing programs or services within the non-profit sector
  • An undergraduate/master’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience managing and motivating a diverse, cross-functional, high-performance team
  • Knowledge of current best practices and experience in the housing sector, public and mental health
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a critical thinker
  • Current, or willing to obtain, Emergency First Aid, and Criminal Record Check
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance (business level)

Compensation & Hours: This is a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week), Monday-Friday schedule, with a salary range of $31.80 - $36.85 per hour dependent on experience and related skills. The successful candidate can expect to enter the organization no higher than the midpoint of the compensation range.
