Opportunity
Surrey Youth Housing Services requires a Team Lead to provide day to day program oversite to multiple youth housing programs. As a member of the Surrey Youth Services team, the Team Lead is part of a leadership group that oversees PCRSs’ youth services in Surrey. The Housing Team Lead provides mentorship, support, and supervision to a team of specialized youth housing workers that work within MCFD contracts and Federal housing contracts. They will demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, including familiarity with federal contracts and budget management. The position will require experience working in Surrey and experience in the housing field. The Team Lead builds and develops partnerships and networks both in and outside the community. The successful candidate will be passionate about housing and understand the pathways that lead to youth homelessness. They will encourage and promote a trauma informed, strength based and participant focused approach.
This position supports teams who work in the evenings and on weekends. There will be on-call work, evening, and weekend work.

There may be a need for earlier or later hours depending upon circumstances, including morning meetings and evening youth events; offering support at key times and coordinating others to assist when not available.
