Building Maintenance – Part-Time
M’akola Housing Society – Prince Rupert, BC
Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Building Maintenance position, internally called the Caretaker, is responsible for conducting regular building checks of each property in the regions to ensure they meet the quality standards M’akola sets. The focus of the role will be to pick up garbage around the buildings, posting notices if needed, and participating in the on-call rotation for after hours calls. If able, this role will assist in the minor maintenance tasks as well. The successful candidate will be aware and sensitive to the housing needs of the Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people. The Caretaker will ensure MHS is represented in a professional, responsible, and respectful way at all times.
Living accommodation and relocation may be negotiated for the right candidate.
This position is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
