The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is an award-winning settlement agency that has contributed to Greater Victoria’s vibrant community for over fifty years. ICA’s services range from guiding immigrant entrepreneurs as they create small businesses to supporting vulnerable newcomers to become confident, contributing members of our community. In partnership with more than 500 community partners and generous donors and volunteers, ICA serves as a helping hand, a listening ear, and a tireless advocate for immigrants and refugees.
We are looking for Casual (on-call) Childcare Workers who will provide a safe environment for the pre-school children of participants in ICA’s various settlement and integration programs. You are energetic, warm, and working with children brings you joy. You have a keen understanding of the specific challenges immigrant and refugee children face, and you will use that knowledge to create and implement engaging activities to support and nurture the children under your care.
Compensation and Hours: This position starts at $20.22 per hour. On-call positions are available from September 2023 to cover shifts Monday to Friday, between 8:55-11:45 am and/or 12:30-3:10 pm. The position requires union membership.
