Maintenance Worker – Fulltime, Permanent
Jesken Aerie Assisted Living – Langford, BC

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Assisted Living Manager, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Jesken Aerie Assisted Living building and grounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and routine maintenance duties according to schedules. Due to the residents we support, the successful candidate must be vaccinated against Covid-19. 

This is a fulltime, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm, Tuesday and Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm, based out of the Assisted Living building at 817 Goldstream Ave. in Langford. This position pays $25.75 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience
  • Completion of a maintenance training program is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with Elders, seniors and persons with disabilities in congregate/assisted living setting is an asset
  • Experience working in and with Indigenous communities is an asset
  • First Aid – Level 1 (can complete once hired and paid for by M’akola)
  • Clear Criminal Record Check required upon selection
  • Vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus before start date
