We are looking for a motivated Program Assistant to join our team!

 

POSITION FUNCTION:

The position is responsible for providing administrative support, accurate records and data management for MOSAIC’s Volunteer Resources department and Enhanced Settlement programs, with a focus on the following communities – seniors, 2SLGBTQ+ and newcomers with disabilities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform administrative tasks: answer inquiries about the programs, file documents, produce documents and spreadsheets, order office/program supplies, enter/record financial data
  • Help with the screening and onboarding of new volunteers
  • Support clients and volunteers, register them, maintain records, provide information/referrals and orientation
  • Prepare and/or assist with correspondence, presentations, publications, marketing, events, reports and surveys
  • Research and compile information and data

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of secondary school and a one or two-year college program and/or comparable experience
  • Strong computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Better Impact or other CRM databases is an asset
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Code of Volunteer Involvement is an asset
  • Additional languages are an asset
  • Experience working with seniors or persons with disabilities is an asset
  • Lived experience with disability is an asset
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check

 

HOURS: 

Part-Time (28 hours a week)

The successful candidate may be permitted to work a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote work). Candidate must be able to commute to MOSAIC’s Highgate and Boundary offices.

 

BENEFITS:

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
