The Position
The Program Supervisor manages the Family and Community Supports program in High Prairie, Alberta and surrounding communities, acts as a community liaison, representing WJS Canada within these communities, as well as, program administration, case management, staff supervision, development and hiring.
In Your Role You Will
• Staff management: hire, train, develop and evaluate WJS staff
• Case Management: Supervise, assign and monitor caseloads; program activities and development; Coordinate and assign all referrals
• Community: Liaise with external agencies/professionals involved with families served; Promote program services and develop initiatives to support children and families; Participate in community development projects, i.e. inter agency groups and councils.
• Program Administration: ensure staff and program operations comply with contractual obligations, company polices and procedures, legislation and accreditation standards

As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Child & Youth Care, Social Service Worker, Addictions, etc.
• 5 years supervisory experience in the social services field
• Must have good knowledge of Signs of Safety, Solution Focused Training, Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Care and Collaborative Service Delivery
• Strong understanding of Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act
• Experience working with computer/business software programs.
• Valid Alberta Driver’s License, reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance, and clean driver’s abstract
• Valid CPR/First Aid certificates
• Training in suicide prevention and cultural sensitivity
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture an asset
