Position Description: Regional Pathways Analyst
The Transition Accelerator is a pan-Canadian organization that works with others to identify and advance viable pathways to a prosperous, competitive, and net-zero Canada in 2050. The Accelerator is seeking a motivated individual who wants to help drive the advancement of the organization’s mandate.
We work with partners ranging from Indigenous groups, governments, industry, and civil society to co-create practical visions of what we think the future could look like, and then build pathways to these new futures. For us, the future is economically strong, with healthy people and communities. The future is fair, with net zero emissions. Moreover, the Accelerator understands that only by working together will we be successful in attaining these ambitious objectives.
About the Role
Within The Accelerator, our Regional Pathways division focuses on supporting the transition to net zero at the sub-national level. We engage stakeholders to map out and advance region-specific strategies for achieving net-zero emissions. For this role, we are seeking someone with a diverse skill set—someone capable of organizing data effectively in Excel, analyzing large datasets, conducting comprehensive reviews of technology and policy literature, and expressing ideas clearly and concisely in writing. We are also looking for individuals who thrive on a varied workload, covering a range of decarbonization technologies and policies across different regions of the country.
Collaboration is key in our Regional Pathways division. We work closely with other verticals within The Transition Accelerator, including Electrification, Industrial Policy, and Net-Zero Fuels. Additionally, we collaborate with consortia closely linked to The Accelerator, such as the Building Decarbonization Alliance. If you are highly collaborative and eager to make a meaningful impact on Canada's transition to a net-zero future, we encourage you to consider joining our team.
When you join us, you'll be diving into one of Canada's most pressing challenges: addressing climate change. This opportunity offers you a chance to gain invaluable experience in navigating the path to a net-zero future, connect with some of the nation's foremost experts in this field, and actively contribute to real-world change.
