Position Summary

e4c’s Housing Programs provide housing for people looking for stability, support, and a better life. This position is responsible for supporting the development, strategic planning, service delivery, and management of the Housing Division. Collaboration with Program Managers across multiple sites is critical in responding to emergent needs, assisting with growth, and implementing best practices across Housing Programs.

 

Position will provide leadership increasing potential and capacity in personnel, operations, and community settings and will support recruitment, orientation, and on-going development of all program staff.

 

Key Accountabilities

Operational Management

  • Work in partnership with the Program Manager ensuring all operations are running smoothly at site.
  • Assist with managing program operational cycles and plan service delivery to achieve program goals and outcomes. This could include the development of new programs and the transformation / growth of existing programs.
  • Work jointly with E4C Human Resources Department to recruit personnel.
  • Coordinate program information through the management of client and program personnel information; preparation of summary reports of activities and statistics; and communication and consultation with stakeholders and relevant parties.
  • Ensure implementation of leading practices and safety protocols.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to represent, discuss and / or establish collaborations, partnerships, or other services with a view to improve services to participants.
  • Fulfill Program Manager/Lead responsibilities and provide direct program support in the absence of the Program Manager, or when required.

 

Leadership

  • Supports staff in their role by observing performance, recognizing successes, providing constructive feedback and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration and support with residents and integrated staff team.
  • Review care plans, Life skills, wellness, and community enhancement goals with multidisciplinary team to ensure programming reflects the needs and diversity of participants.
  • Works with clinical staff and staff teams to make collaborative decisions about the programs.
  • Provide leadership alongside of clinical teams and staff teams to ensure residents’ needs are honored and respected and that they become part of the community in a way that is personally meaningful to them.
  • Maintain standards of practice for the programs in alignment with harm reduction, indigenous world view, behavior modification, trauma-informed and person-centered practice through modelling and coaching.
  • Debrief and follow-up critical incidents and/or crisis situations in conjunction with staff and others, as required, to provide support, ensure proper protocol was followed and minimize future incidents.

 

 

 

Risk Management

  • Implement risk management practices across all shifts.
  • Provide assessment of risk affecting housing sites and provide ongoing support, feedback and risk reduction strategies, targeted at increasing safety and reducing risks to person served, staff and e4c.

 

Community Development

  • Work with neighbors and the community to build and model positive neighbor relations.
  • Work with other programs within e4c to build community for staff and residents through the facilitation of integrated activities, programming, events, and ongoing relationship building.

 

Administrative

  • Maintain accurate and current financial records, which adhere to agency financial practices.
  • Financial management of invoices, debit reconciliation, and overall management of program budgets and finances.
  • Ensure that all information regarding service delivery is developed, managed and reported in a timely manner.
  • Prepare required reports and annual budget projections for effective and efficient program planning and ongoing review.
  • Maintain accreditation, licensing, and accommodation standards by monitoring house documentation and communications.

 

Education and Certifications

Required

  • A Degree in the area of social work, human services, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and years of experience will be considered.
  • Police Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Child Intervention Record Check.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Medication Administration
  • Suicide Intervention
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Proof of vehicle insurance, registration and 3 year drivers abstract
