Job Summary:

The Supervisor/Consultant, Child Care and Resource Referral (CCRR), oversees the day-to-day operations for the program, including providing staff assignments and direction, planning, coordination, and administration of the program.   The Supervisor/Consultant, CCRR also supports childcare providers, families and the community in enhancing the availability and accessibility of inclusive childcare options.

Your Role:

Archway’s Supervisor/Consultant with the Childcare Resource and Referral (CCRR) Program contributes by:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of CCRR.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating plans and program design to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Participating in planning and implementation of workshops for care providers.
  • Working with childcare providers in Abbotsford to support quality, inclusive childcare.
  • Facilitating workshops and program delivery.
  • Supervising expenditures within existing budgets.
  • Ensuring program standards, guidelines, and policies are maintained in conjunction with the ECC contract.
  • Providing support, leadership, direction, and supervision to staff using a variety of techniques including coaching, training, skill development, discipline, and attendance management.

Our Offer

  • Wage: $30.87 to $31.44 per hour
  • A permanent, full-time position at 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Some evening work will be required.

Getting an Interview – you will be considered if you have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education with a minimum 5 years working in the ECE field.
  • Supervisory experience in the childcare field.
  • Experience in child growth/development.
  • Experience in group facilitation.

The Job Requires you to have:

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, policies and issues surrounding the ECE field.
  • Strong verbal and written skill, including report writing.
  • Active listening skills; able to communicate respectfully and effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and with a variety of abilities.
  • High level proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite; able to use social media platforms, and virtual meeting networks including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
  • The use of a personal, reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to interact with people in difficult situations.
  • A valid BC Driver’s License and satisfactory driver’s record.  
  • Current First Aid (Child Care) Certificate is a condition of employment.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
