IMT GOVERNANCE & PERFORMANCE ANALYST:

($67,712.13 - $78,694.16 Annually) 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, IMT Governance & Performance, the IMT Governance & Performance Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring and assessment of the IMT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Program. He/She/They will prepare, implement and maintain compliance plans, as well as conduct reviews of processes and procedures relating to GRC policies. The position participates in the delivery of a IMT risk management framework, assessing risk posture as they relate to the organization’s information assets. The incumbent also supports the delivery of a system-wide information asset compliance program, ensuring IMT activities, processes, and procedures adhere to requirements, policies and regulations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT discipline or other relevant field. 
  • Considerable experience in GRC or security related experience. 
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of the principles, processes, and practices of governance, risk and compliance, risk management, service management, policy analysis, and project/program management 
  • Considerable knowledge of information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, SOC 2, PCI-DSS as well as privacy regulations such as FIPPA, PIPEDA, PIPA 
  • Strong understanding of key business processes, the inherent risks, potential controls and residual risk 
  • Strong understanding of GRC configuration and security concepts and procedures 
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement 
  • Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information 
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of business users and technical analysts 
  • Ability to problem solve, show initiative and follow through 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction 
  • Ability to excel in working under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
