Weston Frontlines Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Young Adults Program Manager. As a Young Adults Program Manager, you will take on a central role that highlights Frontlines’ goals in supporting youth (15-30 ages) in new and innovative programs which will help them enhance their skills to find and retain employment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Keep the program on track- from start to completion to ensure that we are meeting deadlines, milestones and processes
-Supervise and train staff, placement students and volunteers
-Oversee the development and facilitation of workshops and events for the 15-30 age group
-Build partnerships with community agencies and connect with potential employers to support job placements
-Develop and maintain a calendar of programming and work plans
-Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
-Coordinate any purchases for programming with the support of Financial & Operations team
-Facilitate, develop, and evaluate group/individual training with regards to pre-employment; identify any job barriers that participants face and offer available resources to help them overcome such barriers
-Liaise with partners, vendors, contractors, employers, etc.
-Work with the Director of Programs and other managers to determine any risks and opportunities across multiple programs within the department
-Assist the Marketing/Communications Manager in the development of promotional materials and outreach strategies to attract more participants and/or employers
-Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
-Lived experience similar to the racialized and marginalized youth that we serve
-Minimum of three years experience in Program or Project Management, or similar field
-Must be able to work in a faced paced environment
-Must have access to a car and a valid driver’s license
-Must be a team player that is willing to to engage in a variety of tasks to meet outcomes
-Able to provide excellent service delivery
-Must be results-oriented, able to motivate and inspire self and others
-Must be a team player willing to engage in a variety of tasks to meet outcomes
-Must have good working knowledge of Google workspace
-Well developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
-Excellent written communication skills
-Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
-Flexibility regarding assigned work hours and location
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Community College Diploma required in Social Services, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, and/or related fields
