JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities Cleaner keeps the Agency facilities clean and in orderly condition, including:

  • Cleaning floors
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms
  • Dusting
  • Removing trash 
  • Performing routine maintenance activities
  • Notifying leadership of the need for repairs
  • Assists as needed with painting, mowing, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalks

Hours of work: Flexible, maximum of 30 hours per week.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Hourly wage: starting at $19.47 plus shift premiums

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum grade 12
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance
  • Due to frequent travel between sites, must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Work will include outdoor activities in cold and hot weather
  • Exposure to cleaning supplies, gasoline, propane and other chemical substances
  • Manual dexterity for tools, brushes, etc.
  • Some heavy lifting, carrying and reaching of items such as landscaping equipment, furniture, etc.
  • Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift
  • Please also note that the successful candidate will be required to provide a police vulnerable sector check as a condition of employment, however strong consideration is made to the type of offense

Start date: as soon as possible
