In Saskatoon, we own and operate group homes that support physically and cognitively challenged adults.
The RSM is responsible for overseeing the support of individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. Reporting to the Group Home Operations Manager, the RSM is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of their group home(s) and for ensuring that program standards noted in the Community Living Service Division agreement are met The Group Home Coordinator is accountable for 5 different areas:

Applicants qualify for this position through the completion of post-secondary education (i.e.: Disability Support Worker/Continuing Care Assistant). Applicants must have a minimum of three to five years of management experience working with cognitively and/or physically challenged adults in a residential or vocational setting. CLSD Level 3 in writing behavior support plans is preferred. Applicants must possess or have the ability to obtain TLR, PART, CCP, SP, medication module and first aid training; a valid driver license is required. Applicants must have experience in the design of developmental programming, behavioral interventions and be comfortable in providing medical support. Good working knowledge of budgeting and human resource management is required. Applicants must be able to work on-call and possible evening and/or weekend shifts. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
