The Foundations and Corporate Partnerships Unit within the larger Philanthropy team, supports MSF’s social mission and contributes towards the fundraising goal of the department by partnering with Canadian foundations, companies, and their employees. In doing so, the Foundations and Corporate Partnerships Unit supports our partners in the realization of their philanthropic strategy.
The intern will provide day-to-day support to the Foundations and Corporate Partnerships team with various data entry and administrative tasks, and contribute to content development, donor stewardship and prospecting, and fundraising campaigns. The intern will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience in corporate and foundations fundraising as well as their experience within an effective not-for-profit/international organization.
The successful candidate will:
Have demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
Be donor centered, and have experience in customer service
Be detail oriented and comfortable working with data and record management
Demonstrate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and database management
Have familiarity with or interest in the Humanitarian or International Development sectors
Be a recent graduate, actively working towards a degree in, or have a combination of education and experience in a field related to Fundraising/Philanthropy, Corporate Development, Non-Profit Management
MSF Canada will provide:
An hourly rate of remuneration at $21.83 as well as paid sick and vacation days
