Stardale Women's Group is actively hiring a part-time (female) Youth Coordinator for our Indigenous Girls Program. This role calls for a dedicated and mature individual committed to making a positive impact on Indigenous girls aged 10-17.

 

This position involves coordinating program logistics, facilitating activities, coaching and mentoring youth participants, collaborating with our small team, plus maintaining effective communication with the families of program participants as well as community volunteers. A flexible schedule is required, with working hours predominantly Sundays through Wednesdays.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate after-school program sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings, including arranging rides, staff, and volunteers. Onsite attendance is required.
  • Assist with participant transportation as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly activities and events outside of regular programming nights in collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Manager.
  • Collaborate and maintain effective communication with support staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Volunteer recruitment and relations in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Timely documentation and reporting on programming activities.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred background in social work, teaching, or related fields.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-lead and managed; able to work independently from a home office when not attending program events.
  • Experience in non-profits and working with at-risk youth programming and community development preferred.
  • Supervision experience and leading teams are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

Key Points:

  • Part-time position, up to 30 hours per week with flexibility outside of the Monday and Wednesday set hours. 
  • Contract/Freelance: Fee-for-service compensation starts at $27-30/hr.
  • Successful candidates must provide a recent Police Records Check and Vulnerable Records Check.
