Position: Digital Media / Marketing Director / Innovator

The Story

 

This position offers a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor as we launch the digital media and marketing enterprise of Canoe Foundation and our innovative fund raising and funding initiative. Assist in shaping and influencing our way forward. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.

We are positioning Canoe Foundation to be a philanthropic ally of those working to equip Indigenous communities with the right tools and education needed to ensure Indigenous knowledge is a driving force in climate solutions.

 

To support and encourage the engagement of Indigenous artists and influencers in the fundraising initiative of our Paddles of Peace and Providence.

 

To provide advocacy for human change…not climate change.

 

Job Description

 

  • Working in close collaboration with the Founder and Managing Director of the Foundation.
  • Work with a 3rd party web design company to ensure the development of the new web site meets all the needs of the Foundation’s mission and strategies.
  • Maintain the web site on an ongoing basis with updates as necessary.
  • Manage all social media platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

 

The most important qualification is an enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference to finding solutions to the climate crisis by providing support to those Indigenous communities who are not only feeling the brunt of climate change but are actively providing leadership in the movement for sustainable and effective solutions to climate change.

 

You’ll know if you have the technical skills to fulfill the mandate as outlined in the job description.

 

You’ll bring a wide range of experience and insight into many aspects of the digital media and marketing field.

Work Schedule

 

The position is part time…working from your home office.

 

Compensation

 

The position is as a volunteer, but there will be opportunities to participate in some travel if desired, in the execution of our fund raising initiative.
