Ups and Downs is a registered not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and their support groups. Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week.
We are seeking a team member to lead the onboarding, engagement, and support of new and current volunteers.
You will be working together with other high skilled teammates to coordinate volunteer support for exciting member events and programs. Are you organized, friendly, and can work both independently and with a team? Do you have excellent people skills?
You will have access to strong data management tools to help you organize, recruit, train, and engage volunteers. This impactful role has you collaborating with other volunteers, as you work together as a team to create meaningful experiences and support for everyone involved!
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment, training, and support new and existing volunteers
- Manage volunteer information through our database (i.e. screening volunteer applications and ensuring up to date police information checks.)
- Communicate and collaborate with Program Coordinator.
