Board of Directors
Deafblind Community Services, CNIB
Regina area, Saskatchewan and other provinces of Canada
flexible / as needed
closes in 5 days (Wed, 12 Aug)

Life is a beautiful, complex and wonderful thing. Life for people who are Deafblind should be no different. To deliver on this vision and help us enable independence and enrich lives, Deafblind Community Services [DBCS] is inviting applications/nominations for multiple board appointments to the Deafblind Community Services board in 2020.

This year, Deafblind Community Services continues to be one of Canada's leading providers of specialized support and emergency services for people who are Deafblind. Funded by the Government, our intervenor services and literacy programs enable people who are Deafblind to maximize their independence and engagement with the world around them.

Now, as we look toward the future, Deafblind Community Services is seeking to grow our geographic reach and impact, all while leading the development of global professional intervenor standards – helping to secure a better future for the Deafblind Community.

What you'll do with Deafblind Community Services

Each member of our board is an advocate for the rights of all Canadians who are Deafblind. Board members are enthusiastic ambassadors for the organization and our mission – to ensure that all Deafblind Canadians have access to the essential services they need to do things that many of us take for granted: grocery shopping, banking, or medical appointments.

We want to hear from you

If you are an influential community or business leader who is passionate about this mission and want to play a critical role in support of Deafblind Community Services, we want to hear from you. The ideal Board Director will champion DBCS’s mission and values: to enrich lives and enable independence. The board member will have a personal connection and/or a commitment to the success of Deafblind Community Services, and the Canadians that we serve. We are looking for candidates with a wide range of expertise including fundraising and finance.
