Volunteer Opportunities with Tetra Society of North America - Edmonton Chapter

 

The Tetra Society of North America is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our Edmonton Chapter is seeking passionate volunteers to join our diverse team. We offer multiple volunteer positions that cater to various skills and interests, including networking, social media, event attendance, and hands-on project creation and engineering.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Networking: Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to increase our outreach and impact.
  • Advertising and Promotion: Develop and execute advertising strategies to raise awareness of our mission and activities. This may include managing social media accounts, creating content, and running promotional campaigns.
  • Getting the Word Out: Actively participate in events, workshops, and community gatherings to spread the word about Tetra Society and recruit volunteers and partners.
  • Creating Partnerships: Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to establish partnerships that can help further our mission.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly meetings to collaborate and brainstorm ideas.
  • Work on at least one project per year, contributing your unique skills and creativity.
  • Interact with individuals with disabilities, providing innovative solutions and support.

Qualifications:

  • A willingness to think outside the box and be creative.
  • A few hours a month to dedicate to volunteering.
  • Must undergo a vulnerability check to ensure the safety of our community.
