About Good Neighbour Project:

The Good Neighbour Project (GNP), launched in March 2020, is a Canadian charity dedicated to providing on-the-ground support to connect isolated vulnerable people with resources and necessities. Created at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, GNP mobilized over 6000 volunteers in 25 cities to address an access gap between equity-seeking members of the community and essential items like food and medication. In addition to its volunteer delivery support program and seniors socialization initiative, GNP is currently developing other poverty relief initiatives.

About Role:

The Good Neighbour Project (GNP) is seeking community-focused and passionate individuals to join our Delivery Support Program as Delivery Volunteers. • Empathetically and patiently engage with vulnerable persons to coordinate grocery shops/food bank pick-ups
  • Punctually pick-up food hampers/groceries and deliver to requesters in a safe manner
  • Some bending/lifting is required
  • Notify/escalate any concerns/issues that arise during your deliveries
  • Provide feedback as required, for continuous quality improvement

  • Access to a phone and computer (or smartphone) is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement and problem-solving skills
