Background

REACH Community Health Centre is looking for a creative Squarespace web designer who is passionate about promoting health and well-being of the community through visually stunning and user-friendly web site.   

 

This project-based volunteer work is to produce a quality landing page to celebrate 55 years of REACH’s connections with a community that includes historical timelines and video stories that highlight our milestone. Our goal is to create awareness of how community health centre has made a positive impact on people’s health and lives. They will design and execute a campaign landing page by collaborating with various members of staff. They will mostly work remotely with flexible hours, and sometimes in-person meetings are required.

Volunteer Timeline

Late August  - October, 2024 (TBC)

 

Projected tasks and deliverables

  • Prepare and present front-end design ideas/concept, consistent with REACH’s brand, values and goals
  • Design/develop a campaign landing page in Squarespace that will have:
  • Interactive timelines
  • Testimonial videos
  • Social media integration
  • Contact form
  • Responsive layout for Mobile/Laptop/Tablet
  • Integrate the landing page into REACH’s main website after the anniversary campaign
  • Consult with relevant staff members, to determine requirements of project

 

 

Criteria for Selection

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience and education in field of web design
  • Competent in custom coding and using relevant web development software
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Photography and graphic design skills are asset
  • Able to manage their time efficiently to produce materials within a given deadline
  • Experience working in a team, with multiple contributing parties
  • Experience in collaborative leadership; able to conduct themselves professionally and express their expectations clearly and respectfully when multiple stakeholders are involved in a project
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, or health care is an asset
  • Excellent communication, time and project management skills
  • Obtain the latest design trend and attention to the details
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and deadline driven environment
