EFRY Hope and Help for Women empowers women and girls through a trauma-informed, inclusive, and gender-responsive lens. Our client-focused approach strengthens emotional, cultural, and social well-being through prevention, support, reintegration, and advocacy.
The Story Book program is an initiative that allows incarcerated parents, and involved extended family members to record themselves reading books, which are then sent to their children with the recorded audio.
The Story Book program allows the parent to once again be part of their child’s daily routine, have the chance to be of service to their child and provide emotional support.
The goal is foster emotional bonds, promote social and cognitive development, promote literacy and lower recidivism.
