Big Sisters of B.C. Lower Mainland is looking for caring volunteer mentors for our 1:1 Big Sisters Mentoring program who will support youth (girls and gender-diverse young people ages 7 to 17) through guidance, encouragement, and positive role modelling to build self-confidence. Mentors meet with their mentee for 2-4 hours once a week for at least one year.
In the Big Sisters Mentoring program, you will be matched with a single youth, allowing you to build a deep, personalized relationship. Activities can range from casual outings to focused discussions, making it a versatile option for both mentors and mentees.
This opportunity is for:

• those who prefer personalized interactions and are excited to support the unique goals and challenges of their mentee.

Big Sisters is accepting applications across the Lower Mainland, but we are in high need of volunteers who live or are willing to travel to:
- New Westminster (Sapperton, Douglas College area, Tipperary Park)
- Burnaby (Brentwood)
- Coquitlam (Austin Heights, Burke Mountain, Coquitlam Town Centre)
- Surrey (Newton, North East Clayton)
