The Mission:

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), the Executive - Legal mission is to build a strong legal function at Testoper Community to ensure its strategy is aligned and operates within its legal and compliant frameworks. Be proactive with a creative mind, insightful data-driven learner, and act as a force multiplier to drive growth by keeping Testoper in compliance, enabling Testoper to fulfill its vision and mission.

The Responsibility:

  • Partner with CLO to provide a broad spectrum of legal support to the Testoper Community.
  • Research on relevant laws to implement legal strategies and requirements to comply and minimizing the risks. 
  • Ensure compliance with global and local requirements, including relevant laws, codes of conduct, and policies.
  • Create and maintain a legal operational plan and calendar, and ensure its success from goal to action, target metrics indicator, and outcome. 
  • Lead as an example, walk the talk, honor meeting hours (1hr./week), and volunteer work hours (3 hrs./week).

 The Deliverables:

  • Create and maintain a legal operational plan and calendar, and ensure its success from goal to action, target metrics indicator, and outcome.
  • Accountable for government legal activities/deadlines and executing it promptly to minimize the risk of non-compliance.
  • Support the Finance team for grants and loan applications to secure government and private grants
  • Fulfill non-profit secretary responsibilities, such as communicating to CXO's, scheduling meetings, maintaining minutes of meetings, and corporate records completed on time.

 The Experience:

  • Determined to succeed and have led or have worked as an assistant in the legal department from a law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
  • Knowledge and experience with issues related to the not-for-profit organization, tech industry, and education industry are an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a non-profit/charity area of law.
  • Adaptive legal skills, capable of responding to a wide range of legal challenges in a proactive and reactive manner.
  • Provide legal research and advice with issues of laws related to not-for-profit.
  • Keep your promises, take your commitments seriously, and have strong integrity.
