Conduct research on potential funding sources, such as corporate, government, family, and NFP foundation grants.
Develop and transform ideas into grant proposals.
Maintain funding opportunity databases.
Develop and write grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations.
Assemble required documentation for grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets and presentations.
Establish and maintain relationships with grant contacts and program officers.
Maintain a calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines and reports.
Excellent writing, analytical and research skills are essential.
Must possess an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct form.
Proven proficiency of professional writing experience.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to work independently.
2-5 years of relevant grant research and writing experience.
Estimated Volunteer Hours: 3-5 hours per week
