As our current president has finished their term, we are looking to transition a new team member into this role. The president is responsible for overseeing the governance of the CAAWLS board of directors and providing strategic guidance to help the organization achieve its goals. In performing this function, the president liaises regularly with CAAWLS' one employee, the volunteer & program coordinator.
The ideal candidate for president has previous board governance experience and may be from certain professional backgrounds (management, accounting, business, human resources, veterinary, legal, or psychology fields). They must possess leadership and good time management skills and be able to commit volunteering 10 to 20 hours a month. Criminal record checks will be completed.
The CAAWLS Board is an active, working one that meets monthly. Board members are also expected to be a member of one internal committee, which may require additional meetings approximately once per month. Board members are expected to fulfill a two-year renewable term.
Individuals are welcomed to submit a letter of interest and CV. Please submit your application through Indeed. We look forward to hearing from you!
