The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in creating content in multiple formats for PWBs various social media platforms and supporting the implementation of PWBs Social Media strategy.
Creating engaging copy to accompany graphics, images and videos
Following content calendar to promote various initiatives and campaigns
Create copy using storytelling guidelines with ethical, informed language
Designing posts that center grassroots NGO’s, communities and voices
Staying on top of current trends and researching audience behaviours
Answer DM’s, respond to comments and interact with followers
Participating in the strategic planning and execution of PWBs social content for various platforms
Posting to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn feed and stories
Planning ahead to schedule posts to go out daily
Post-secondary education in marketing, communications or related field, or applicable work experience
At least 2 years experience with copywriting & storytelling
Direct social media management experience
Detail-oriented and strong commitment to deadlines
Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging, strategic content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Average of 10 hours per week
Ability to attend mandatory weekly team meetings (virtual) at 6:45pmEST on Wednesdays.
