Les Habitations Tango is seeking engaged, dedicated, experienced, and excited volunteers to join our Board of Directors. 

You’re a great fit if: 

• You are passionate about and have experience working or volunteering in a non-profit organization in a collaborative way.

• You believe and support the mission and vision of Les Habitations Tango.
• You have 6 hours a month to dedicate and support the Board of Directors of Les Habitations Tango.

• You are an open-minded and active member of your community
• You can contribute to the Board’s overall responsibility of oversight to ensure the mission and values are upheld.

• You have expertise in human resources, legal, marketing, finance, fundraising, communications, program development, governance, and strategic planning. 
• You identify as part of the disability community or have a family member or friend who is.

About Les Habitation Tango: 

Located in the heart of NDG, this not-for-profit organization, partially funded by the Accès-Logis program and the CIUSSS de Montréal Centre Ouest, offers 15 accessible, adapted and affordable housing units to adults aged 18 to 55, living with physical disabilities.

Les Habitation Tango is currently undergoing some structural changes and hiring processes. 

What you’ll be doing: 

The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the organization's mission is implemented and that the values of Les Habitation Tango are respected in all its decisions. The Board also oversees the legal and financial management of the organization. 

You will attend monthly Board meetings and carry out oversight of the operations of Les Habitation Tango through 

• Finance (general budgeting, financial statements)
• Human Resources (hiring, employee development, payroll)
• Programs (developing and supporting Tango’s projects and services)
• Strategic planning

2. Selected candidates will be contacted to provide more information or answer additional questions as needed.
3. During July, we will be conducting short interviews with selected candidates and the current Board of Directors.  There is a possibility that the interview will be done in a group setting.
4. Retained candidates will be invited to join the Board of Directors as interim members until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or a Special Meeting is held, where they will be elected. People will be asked to give a short speech to members at the AGM.
