The Health Centre is seeking members for its volunteer Board of Directors! We are looking for individuals who are able to view the changing, complex health care environment strategically in a way that enables the organization to move forward in a proactive manner taking into consideration the needs of our target populations who face barriers in accessing health and social services.

We are seeking applicants who bring a philosophy of social justice, harm reduction, advocacy, anti-oppression and community development to the board. 

Applicants with experience in human services, fundraising, finance, law or other relevant areas are welcome!

The populations that our organization serves include:

• Newcomers and immigrants to Canada (our top languages are Arabic, Spanish, Thai, Persian, Khmer, and Karen). We are also designated for French Language Services. 
• People living in poverty and those at risk of homelessness.
• People with complex physical and/or mental health issues. 

Time Commitment: 

This is a volunteer commitment of 4-6 hours per month. All meetings are conducted in English. Our Board meetings are currently on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
