Financial Literacy Program Developer and Facilitator

The Refugee Centre (TRC) is accepting applications for students or graduates to develop and deliver workshops on Financial literacy relevant to Low-Income Racialized Newcomers/Refugee Adults. Applicants who are a good fit for this position have a demonstrated interest in exploring, learning about, and sharing information about the Canadian Financial System and its applications. Successful candidates will gain Project development and reporting skills in a supportive environment. The Refugee Center is non-profit based in Montreal, Quebec that provides a sustainable structure of integration for refugees and immigrants in Canada. Its programming includes Orientation, Academic Aid, Legal Aid, Learning Center, Employability, Wellness and Health support.

  • Banking System
  • Canadian Tax System
  • Credit System
  • Mortgages and Leases
  • Insurance Types
  • How to invest in Canada
  • Entrepreneurship programs

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication both spoken and written in English & French, third language considered an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience developing and delivering interactive self-contained lessons, workshops, or learning modules
  • Familiarity with creating information package
  • Experience with MS office and G-Suite
  • Familiarity with Canadian financial system
