on-call / relief / casual  •  $23.73 - $27.19

Summary of Duties:

  • Orient and work alongside volunteers.
  • Daily loading, unloading, pick-up and delivery of donations, food stocks, hampers and items from donors.
  • Drive the agency vehicles for pickup of donations, delivery of goods and related duties.
  • Ensure that the truck is well maintained, and servicing is performed.
  • Ensure that all outside areas of the Food Bank are kept safe and clean.
  • Removal of unwanted items from the Food Bank and other SHARE Programs.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Two years of truck driving experience, with a clean driving record.
  • Good communication skills and good physical health. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
  • Occasionally may be required to work evenings or on a weekend.
