Sources Community Resources Society

Sources Community Resources Society is currently seeking a Home Share Provider in Vancouver, Richmond, New West, or Burnaby area to support a moderately independent woman, in her early 40’s. Preferably close to public transit. She is a highly sociable individual who communicates openly but may struggle with comprehension at times, requiring information to be broken down and repeated.

While she independently manages personal care tasks, she benefits from reminders for thoroughness and appropriate clothing choices. She can independently access the community safely and responds well to clear expectations and routines in learning environments. Community engagement is important to this individual, as they are part of Special Olympics sports, attends Church, and participates in volunteering.

Overall, their needs include guidance, decision-making, understanding boundaries, and meeting health needs such as providing meals, as she does not cook.

Applicants must have experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues.

Adult Emergency First Aid and CPR, criminal record check, valid BC driver’s license and drivers abstract are required.
