The Role:

Reporting to the Manager, IT Management Services, you would be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development, implementation and administration of IT planning, systems, policies and procedures to ensure proper IT financial management responsibilities are met
  • Processing/administering IT Contracting and Procurement requirements, and the coordination of IT's Proposal Letters (PL), Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), and Invitations to Quote (ITQ).
  • Providing input of information/advice between Finance and the IT Senior Management team
  • Keeping track of procurement, deployment, use and end-of-life of IT Capital assets and collaborates with the Accounts team to update the Capital Asset register
  • Collecting data and performs complex data analysis, including analysis of past fiscal costs, financial impacts of technical upgrades, analysis of any potential cost savings
  • Ensuring software licenses and support maintenance agreements are always current and compliant by tracking expiry dates and initiating timely renewal procedures

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting
  • Excellent understanding of Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Project Management, and Financial Management
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract management and project management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to produce accurate reports and presentations
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information in a manner that can be understood by the intended audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or business-related discipline or combination of education and experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA) and/or Project Management, ITIL certifications
  • Minimum of five years' experience in analyzing and resolving complex data sets, extracting and presenting information with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Team: IT Services
Status/Term: Regular/Full time, position starts on April 1, 2024
Classification/Salary: IS R27: The position starts at $83,071.72 annually, plus a 9.9% market adjustment paid bi-weekly. You will also receive an annual $2,000 retention incentive.
