Position Title:  Adult, Youth or Child Worker

Program:  Baby’s Best Chance Program

Location:   Fort St John and Dawson Creek BC

Qualifications:   Diploma in a related human/social services field. One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Duties:    Promotes positive health practices that will contribute to the health of newborns through, outreach, education and support to at risk perinatal women and teens. Knowledge of First Nations and Metis traditions an asset. Skills in counselling, group facilitation and co-ordination are assets.

Other Job Information:   Must be computer literate. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Weekly travel to Dawson Creek required.

Hours of Work:  14 hours per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays 9am-4pm), paid lunch when group facilitation occurs during lunch break time.

Rate of pay:   $27.54 - $31.61 depending on experience.  This is a unionized position with the BCGEU.

Start Date:  May 29, 2024 or soon after.
