The Executive Director of the Women's Centre of Calgary will steer the organization through its next phases of growth and impact. This key leadership role involves overseeing the implementation of strategic goals, expanding programming, and enhancing service delivery to meet the evolving needs of our community. You will lead with a collaborative spirit, ensuring that the Centre remains a leader in addressing the challenges facing women today. The ideal candidate will guide the organization with a strategic vision that incorporates a strong commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). You will be responsible for cultivating a welcoming environment that supports all women, particularly those from marginalized and underserved communities. Your role will involve fostering partnerships with local stakeholders, securing funding to ensure the sustainability of the Centre, and advocating for policies that uplift all women. Your innovative approach will be crucial in developing programs that adapt to the changing needs of the community while maintaining the integrity and values of the Centre.

We are searching for a dynamic individual with demonstrated experience in nonprofit leadership, ideally within women-focused advocacy organizations. A deep understanding of gender issues and a proven track record in EDI initiatives are essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups, including community members, donors, and policymakers. A strong educational background in social sciences, women’s studies, or a related field is preferred. Your leadership will not only influence the Centre but also contribute to the broader conversation on women’s rights and empowerment in Calgary and beyond.
