The Program
WJS Canada provides social services to children, youth, adults and families facing difficulties. We take a personalized, trauma-informed approach to care in an environment of cultural respect and support.
Each day over 700 dedicated staff serve approximately 1,300 persons through over 125 services. All our programs provide high quality, personalized and culturally responsive care in even the most complex cases designed to foster positive life changes, increase self-esteem and connections to the community/culture.

The Position
The Senior HRIS Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of our HRIS platform, Dayforce (Ceridian), ensuring its alignment with organizational goals and compliance with provincial regulations. This role requires a keen understanding of HR processes, exceptional technical skills, and a commitment to optimizing system functionality to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
This role is required to be available Monday to Friday to support the organization’s 24/7 operations. Flexibility will be offered for hybrid and remote candidates located in Canada and hours of work between 35-40 hours per week.

In Your Role You Will
• System Administration: Manage user access, security settings, and system configurations to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Work with IT to support system upgrades and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize disruptions.
• Data Management: Oversee data entry, validation, imports and integrity checks to maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment history, and support for benefits enrolments.
• Reporting and Analytics: Develop and generate regular reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making, compliance reporting, and workforce planning initiatives, including collaboration with IT for API integration needs.
• Process Improvement: A keen eye for process automation, efficiency improvements, and system enhancements to optimize HRIS functionality.
• Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to HR staff and end-users to maximize utilization and proficiency in HRIS functionality. Maintain electronic training tools to support end users and contingency plans.
• Compliance and Regulation: With support from the HR Managers, ensure the organization's systems stay current with provincial labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure HRIS compliance and mitigate risks.

As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
• 5-8 years hands on experience in Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with HRIS platforms (Dayforce), including configuration, administration, and reporting.
• Experience with API (application Programming Interfaces) supporting awareness to PIPEDA, IPC Ontario, IPC BC, PIPA, processes within HR and IT relationships.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.

• A desire to work with a leadership and collaborative approach and the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Keen analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
