Job Title: You Can Ride 2 (YCR2) Program Coordinator

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time position (15-24.5 hours/week), ending April 30, 2026

Salary: $21.00/hour

Since 2003, You Can Ride 2 (YCR2) has created accessible cycling opportunities for 200 children annually living with disabilities. YCR2’s goal is to ensure children with disabilities have access to an adaptive bicycle or cycling instruction, thus building independence and a barrier-free community.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing program administration including program administration including accurate file management, database entry and maintenance.
  • Overseeing and tracking all YCR2 program finances and transactions and communicates with the Finance Department.
  • Planning and coordinating community events and registered YCR2 programs, including scheduling and coordinating volunteers and family participants.
  • Managing all YCR2 communications via email, in person, and telephone in a timely and client-focused manner.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for correspondence with clients, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
  • Obtaining quotes, purchasing and receiving bikes and parts, while maintaining excellent vendor relations.
  • Managing program volunteers including recruitment, training, scheduling recognition, and retention.
  • Furthering YCR2’s vision by promoting YCR2’s program and mission throughout the community.
  • Researching and building relationships with stakeholders and community partners.

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in program management.
  • 1-2 years’ experience managing volunteers including recruiting, training and scheduling.
  • First aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • Must pass criminal record check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license, vehicle insurance, appropriate registration and a clean driving record is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms), Canva, and Mailchimp.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out and build relationships with diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with the program participants.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management abilities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Interest in working with youth and individuals with disabilities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to attend YCR2 events during evenings and weekend throughout the year.
