Service Delivery Director

Status:                                 Full-Time Position (Agency operates on 37.5 hours per week)

Starting Salary Range:    $100,000-$110,000

The key responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Leading and developing new and existing service delivery initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization and all forms of programming for children and youth.
• Providing the resources and direction to the service delivery team in order for them to achieve their service delivery goals and outcomes including annual budgets and operating plans ensuring the program and activities are carried out in a way that complies with policies, procedures as well as national standards.
• Providing guidance and support to the volunteer enrollment process ensuring components such as inclusivity, safety, relationship development and overall volunteer engagement and retention strategies are being implemented.
• Building and nurturing strong community and partner relationships while also helping to identify, attract and secure new partnerships and program opportunities including fostering relationships with funders and all levels of government.
• Using reports and outcome data identify opportunities and develop processes to analyze trends in direct service, improve the experiences for volunteers and children and youth and ensure accountability to funders.
• Identifying and evaluating the risks associated with direct service program activities, and taking appropriate action to mitigate the risks.
• Creating and maintaining strategic plans for the Agency’s direct service programs and the role of volunteerism in the organization.
• Supporting the efforts of the Agency’s equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) learning initiatives and the collective efforts within the agency and with external partners.
• Supervising direct reports by providing regular and appropriate direction, as well as guidance and coaching in relation to goal achievement and performance.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• University degree with significant learning and experience in a related human services field.
• 10 years of experience in program management and supervision in the voluntary sector with a proven ability to develop programs and implement them successfully. Combined experience should include previous roles involving child/youth based programming, volunteer management, project management and partnership development.
• Knowledge of leadership, EDI and management principles as they relate to non-profit/voluntary organizations.
• Knowledge of child welfare legislation, trauma informed care and risk management is required.
• Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills and a proven ability to motivate and facilitate groups of people and positively influence others.
• Excellent communication skills (including writing skills) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan, organize and make decisions in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Ability to embraces and practice the agencies equity, diversity and inclusion philosophy and integrates this practice into their work and the agency.
• Skilled and accurate in collecting and tracking data into an electronic system.
• Able to work flexible hours including evening and weekend availability. Agency operates with a 37.5 hours per week and this position supports the work through an in office setting.
• A clear Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check no more than 6 months old are conditions of hire.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
