Position: Home Share Caregiver 

Location: Burnaby, New Westminster & Vancouver 

Hours: Contract Position, hours as needed by client 

We are looking for Home Share Caregivers to join our Sources Community Living Services team! This individual must be Passionate about working with people, Engaging, and Empathic.

SOURCES is a community-based non-profit organization that has been providing support, encouragement, and hope for individuals and families in White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Prince George, and Parksville for 40 years. Sources Community Living Home Share Program 

The Home Share Program is a residential option in which adults with developmental disabilities are matched to live with a caregiver who is contracted with Sources Community Living to provide ongoing support. The Home Share Caregiver’s role is to provide a supportive and safe home environment where adults can develop social and life skills to ready themselves to reach their full potential for independence. Types of supports needed vary per individual.

 Qualifications: 

• you have empathy and are self aware  
• take initiative and work with integrity  
• experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities  
• you have the physical ability to engage in a variety of home and community-based activities 
• you are knowledgeable or have experience in areas of mental health and intellectual disabilities  

• you have a valid driver's license 
• everyone in the home over 18 years old can complete a criminal record check 
• have a valid First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain) 
• reside in the lower Burnaby, Vancouver or New Westminster and have a bedroom or a basement suite for individual to live in 
• completion of a successful home study 

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS (Staff currently employed by Sources Community Resource Society are not eligible to apply) 

Start Date: Ongoing 

Salary: Vary by contract $1585 - $3500 per month  

Benefits (if applicable): Contract position
