Role: Operations Coordinator
Start Date: As soon as possible
Position: Full-time 30-37.5 hours per week
Location: In-person in Vancouver with potential for hybrid work after probation
Salary Range: $24/hr - $26/hr (PTO + benefits valued at $6,120 - $6,570)
Paid time off: 3 weeks vacation + 5 sick days + 2 weeks winter holiday closure

Sea Smart is a Vancouver-based charity that delivers innovative, engaging education programs based on science and current ocean issues to empower kids to be environmental champions across Canada and beyond. About the Role
The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the leadership team with all aspects of Sea Smart’s operations, from teaching and administrative tasks to assisting with outreach and communications. We are looking for a team player who loves to dive in and help with anything we need to run Sea Smart smoothly. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can anticipate the needs of the organization and take action to support the team.

This is a full-time role at 30-37.5 hours/week based at Sea Smart’s locations of work with a possibility of hybrid work after probation pending approval from the Executive Director. There will be some occasions when you will need to work during evenings and weekends. The work hours in such weeks will be adjusted so you do not exceed 60 hours per biweekly pay period.

Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a 20-minute phone screening interview to assess their skills fit. A selection of candidates will be invited for an in-person 60-minute interview with the Managing Director and the Executive Director to further assess your experience and culture fit. Candidates who are shortlisted after the interviews will be requested to provide three work-related references as well as complete a one-hour-long practical assessment.
