Position Summary:

The Team Lead of CSWB - Family Violence Prevention (FVP) will oversee the day-to-day operations of Partner Check, Community Outreach, and Furniture Program. The Team Lead will oversee FVP’s client care, case management, staff supervision and community relations. They will support their team in the delivery of client-centered services in a multi-disciplinary environment primarily delivered in the community. The team lead will also be responsible for managing the intake of clients for community engagement with stakeholders and providing expertise on family violence matters as requested.

The Team Lead will also support the implementation of program policies and practices in line with the agency’s strategic direction and play a supportive role in program and policy development. As a Team Lead, you will monitor operational and evaluative aspects of the program and fulfill the supervision requirements of direct reports.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Manager, Community Safety and Well-being, the Team Lead will be responsible for:

  • Professional representation of the EJHS agency and program in professional settings
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential partners/collaborators
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Community Safety and Well-being programs
  • Participate in the development and implementation of agency strategic direction through the contribution of innovative ideas, concepts and goals
  • Supervision of program staff and volunteers
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and databases
  • Assist with the completion of funder reports and proposals within the required timelines
  • Ensure expenditures are made within the limits of established program budgets
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and compliance of program-level policies
  • Ensure effective recruitment, retention and termination of program staff
  • Review and approve monthly time balances and semi-monthly payroll for staff
  • Support EJHS CARF accreditation process and standards

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Services or related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience with program oversight and supervising front-line employees
  • 4+ years of experience working with individuals navigating the criminal justice system
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of above
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, and direction, and establish a positive culture for a team
  • Proven ability to maintain composure and effectively manage crisis situations
  • Competency in current evidence-based practices in relation to the applicable scope of work, mental health, and addictions
  • Innovative, self-motivated and inclined to go above and beyond
  • General computer and database knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Webex)

Conditions of Employment:

  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal Record check and Child Intervention Record Check; a criminal record will not disqualify you from employment with us; we evaluate each application individually
  • Valid Class 5 License and $2 million liability insurance for occasional business use of vehicle
  • The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30PM, 37.5 hours per week, with some evening and weekend availability to assist with emergency client situations
  • The office is located at Transition Place Building at #401, 10010 – 105 Street, Edmonton, AB.

Salary:

Salary range for this position is: $61,000.00 - $75,000.00.
