The Financial AR Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for performing bank reconciliations, ensuring timely credit card payments, recording gifts in kind, and managing various revenue streams. The Coordinator also handles accounts receivable, manages grocery cards, and supports finance-related projects and tasks.

 

The specific responsibilities of the Financial AR Coordinator include the following:

 

Whole Organization

  • Be responsible for own health and wellness, personally and professionally, and take ownership to ensure you are able to perform this role as needed

  • Working effectively on tasks assigned within the context of BB4CK values and culture
  • Any duties not listed below that may be required to ensure the success of the team

 

Finance Team 

  • Work collaboratively alongside the Financial AP Coordinator and the Finance Team Lead to ensure the proper management of the BB4CK financials and achieving the teams strategic and operational goals.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely credit card payments.
  • Record revenue from various sources and maintain reconciliation spreadsheets.
  • Manage accounts receivable in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and coordinate with the Fund Development team.
  • Prepare monthly cash reports and deliver monthly revenue reports to the Fund Development team.
  • Oversee grocery card orders, receipts, and inventory management.
  • Handle incoming mail and distribute to relevant departments.
  • Support finance projects and create Feeding Futures invoices.

 

Other Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Experience in accounts receivable management is preferred.

 

Education and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a non-profit organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or similar accounting software.
  • Experience in managing accounts receivable and revenue recording.
  • Experience with donation management platforms (e.g., Canada Helps, Stripe, PayPal) is an asset.

 

Kitchen Team Support

  • All employees of BB4CK are expected to offer their support in our kitchen spaces, as needed, while managing their own capacity and schedules throughout the course of their employment.

BB4CK offers a competitive total compensation approach to support the physical, psychological, cultural and financial wellbeing of our people. Base salary is calculated at the 50th percentile of market value with additional benefits equivalent to over $18,000.
