Y Mind Co-Facilitator
Wage:
$31 to $33 per hour
Benefits:
YMCA Membership; discount on childcare (excluding infant/ toddler); 6% vacation pay
Hours:
Part-time, 4-6 hours per week during program delivery with paid training. Options for up to three 7-week cycles before end of June
Location:
Prince George (delivery may be in-person or virtual)
About the Program:
The YMCA Y Mind Program helps young people experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety to learn healthy coping strategies and connect with like-minded youth in a safe and encouraging group environment
Responsibilities of this role:
· Work with another facilitator to deliver the Y Mind Program
· Intake and assessment of program participants, both in-person and by Zoom
· Participate in planning, information sessions, assessment, evaluation, and follow-up
· Must be available for prep and debriefing of all sessions, including information sessions
· Keep accurate records and provide statistics and other relevant information to coordinator
· Maintain a solid understanding of available resources and provide information, support, and referrals to community agencies for applicants and participants as indicated and available
Qualifications:
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably Masters level education in a mental health field, experience with individuals and groups of youth with mental health challenges
· Strong communication skills with diverse populations, both spoken and written
· Three professional references and clear Criminal Record Check
