Your First Year.
As a change maker you understand the importance of immersing yourself and taking the time to learn the intricacies of our organization, from the financial structure to membership services, the Performers Rights Society (PRS) and our benefits provider, Actra Fraternal Benefit Society (AFBS). Your initial focus will be on understanding before acting, ensuring any changes are thoughtful and well-informed.
The Challenges.
You will tackle significant challenges, including breaking down silos within unionized staff and management responsibilities, enhancing cross-training, and reducing manual processes prone to error. Your ability to lead transformative changes and foster a cohesive team environment will be the cornerstone of your success.
Beyond Year One.
As you move beyond your first year at ACTRA, your impact will be pivotal in shaping our financial future. You will spearhead the development and implementation of a robust financial control framework, enhancing oversight and risk management across all operations. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying efficiencies and enhancing accuracy throughout our financial processes.
Additionally, you will play a key role in standardizing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization. Your commitment to mentorship and leadership will foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, empowering your team members to grow professionally and excel in their roles.
