Historica Canada’s General Assistant will be an individual who has experience working with a team to achieve deliverables in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, and someone who is enthusiastic about sharing Canadian stories in a variety of formats. The successful candidate is organized, results-oriented, and flexible. This position reports to the Manager of Programs & Education.

This is a contract position beginning September 2, 2024, and ending March 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension. The annual salary will be $42,000.00 annually pro-rated to $21.03 an hour, less applicable statutory deductions, which will be paid to the successful candidate twice a month.

This position is based at Historica Canada’s Head Office in Toronto. However, qualified distance candidates will be considered. Please note: In accordance with Historica Canada’s Remote Work Policy, staff may choose to work from the office or continue to work remotely.
When Covid-19 public health guidelines allow for it, this position may require travel (air and ground) within Canada and subject to government safety protocols.
