The Role:

As the Associate Manager, Service Delivery and Practice Support, you will have a supervisory responsibility within the team, leading and coordinating a variable-sized group to ensure consistent oversight of operational practice and projects. Your focus will be on designing and planning practice or service solutions that address a range of issues and enhance regional operations, while actively promoting an inclusive environment where individuals with disabilities can fully utilize their talents and contribute meaningfully.

You will work collaboratively to drive organizational objectives and contribute to continuously enhancing service delivery practices, ensuring that all team members, regardless of ability, are supported in harnessing their gifts and maximizing their potential.

You will play a critical role in supervising Service Delivery Advisors (Advisors) and aligning provincial and regional efforts under the service delivery and innovation framework. This work includes:

  • Implementing inclusive practices and support strategies tailored to each Advisor's needs
  • Fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion
  • Engaging stakeholders to improve processes and operational practices
  • Supporting provincial practice consistency, and contributing to continuous quality improvement across regions.
  • Assisting local offices with person-centred planning, community engagement, and advisor development, adopting a brain-based approach to offer compassionate, informed guidance while maintaining high productivity and job satisfaction.

This position is pivotal in leading service delivery improvements and supporting the organization's mission and vision.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, or a related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the management, administration, and/or delivery of services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • A combination of education, work experience, lived experience and skills will be considered as we work to reduce barriers and improve inclusivity
  • Experience:
    • managing processes in a complex environment, with a focus on developing and implementing inclusive practices
    • supervising and supporting staff in settings that support individuals with developmental disabilities
    • within the public sector is considered an asset
    • managing change within a large, public-facing organization, particularly in areas related to service delivery and inclusion for individuals with disabilities is considered an asset

Travel: Overnight travel anticipated one to two times per month to CLBC offices across the province.

Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license and a clean Driver's Abstract is required.

Location: This position can work from any Vancouver Coastal or Fraser region CLBC office. Work will be required from Head Office occasionally.

Hybrid schedule: This position allows two days of on-site office work and flexibility to work from home three days a week within BC.

Term/Status: Auxiliary/Temporary - Anticipated 70 hours bi-weekly for 1 year
Classification/Salary: Band 2 - Position starts at $71,985 to $89,981 annually
